Our Story

I am a Cottage Food Bakery and Apothecary*. Though I am not certified as organice I strive to always use organic flours, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, fruit, extracts, flavorings and honey, from Certified growers, or farms.

I have been baking since I was a small child. I was the child that drove mom crazy in the kitchen with all the questions about the why’ssand how’s of things.

I had a brick and mortor business several years ago in Memphis, Michigan. I am a self taught baker. I’ve been creating recipes for more than 40 years and love the science of baking. I’m a bit of a tree hugger and naturalst and have a Bachelors of Science degree from the Department of Agriculture in Forestry. I graduated in 2006 from Michigan State Universary. I also have a degree in Environmental Science.

**I also make Natural Soaps, Lotions, Bath Soaking Salts, Body Sprays, and Shower Steamers, pain salves. Due to the apothecary being a new part to this business I’m in the process of creating and updating the site. The items will be included on the site once the new products are completely made, and labeled. We are learning and revolving. I am looking forward to providing only the best products and information going forward.

As a small business owner I also support other small businesses.

I am striving always to buy organic ingredients that are sustainable and healthy for the environment and human kind.

My Apothecary goods are made from 97.9% organic butters, oils, essential oils, colors, and tallow unless otherwise stated.

Bakery items should be consumed within 3 days it should be wrapped appropriately in a sealed freezer container and put in the freezer. Most baked goods are good in the freezer for up to 3-6 months. More information is provided on packaging labels.
